The birth of The Octopus!
On a warm, summer evening, two girls decided to have a chat on the phone. One girl, Ashley, would be taking a week-and-a-half long trip to Illinois, tearing the two apart. During this phone call, they became quite bored. To cure this extreme boredom, they began to sing! And might I say, this singing was very high pitched and squeaky. The two girls thought that if they wrote funny songs to go along with the singing, it could possibly be entertaining. They decided this would be their "side project," despite the fact that there was no "main project" for it to spawn off of. But one problem awaited. They needed a name! Of course though, Jenny came to the rescue. While thinking of horrible Disney movies and staring at her Finding Nemo toy, the name "The Octopus Brigade" magically popped into the depths of Jenny's brain! Being 1:30 in the morning had absolutely nothing to do with that.

And there you have it! The Octopus Brigade was formed, and they continue to make beautiful music.
